...having spent most of the weekend head-first in the boot joining and soldering wiring etc (I so hate crimp-on bullet connectors), I'm just wondering whether to spend next weekend upside-down as well, sealing the afterburner pods into the light apertures with silicone? As is, just hanging by the three self tappers, they seem pretty secure and they're easily removable to wipe out the inevitable condensation. Actually, I'm hoping there wont be too much of that, given the freer flow of air allowed by the afterburners', errr, 'looser' fit. Anyone else sealed 'em in? If not, do they rattle around as they're only supported on top and one side? If so, do they still mist and did you seal round the back of the individual light units too?

Mine are fitted un-sealed with no condensation problems. It might be worth sealing around the back of each light. Most of mine fell out after a while as there was only one or two dabbs of silicone on each.

You could also take the time to change the order as I've had complaints, from cars following, that they can't see the brake light. Something to do with the LED's being brighter than the brake light which is in the centre of the LED's.

mine are fitted unsealed too and have no probs, but I have secured with a 4th screw. are you pleased with the results and have you sprayed them or left them black ? mine are black cos I thought it looked better on a yellow(ish) car.
cheers Al.

Cheers Steve, did actually move the lamps around so that the reverse light and indicator (with 'clear' lenses) were one side and the fog and brake lights were the other...I stuck the brake light in the centre of the reflector ring. On mine, the indicator came mounted in the LED ring so I've left it there but wonder quite how visible that will be as the LEDS are deffo brighter.

Tweets, I refinished mine with black satin aerosol after rubbing down the gel coat as it was a bit gruff in places... I could have spent quite some time as there were one or two bigger blemishes but through smoked perspex you'd have to look very hard to see it, so I didn't. My car is the dark Pearl Blue so this looks fine. Where did you stick the fourth screw? I would like to support from the bottom, if only to stop them buzzing (assuming they will)

Mine has the moulding screwed not sealed, but the individual lamps fixed into the moulding using Sikaflex (very sticky, black sealant). I've also found the condensation problems go away because of freer airflow.
