No problems, sounded great when it started! I now know how to jump start a car off the Eurobox - You learn something new every day! I still wonder exactly where the battery is though!
I have just looked at your profile, have you still got the 350i in bits? Come to think of it did you sell an alternator on E bay recently, I seem to remember it was in the Hatfield area and your login name seems familar!

It's under the rear seats in my e34. I was begining to panic a bit as you could probably tell!!
I'm really pleased I invested in the Leven jump start kit as the battery in the Chim is in the passenger foot well and is a biy of a nightmare to get at.
Thanks again, I owe you a few pints at the next BBWF.
Gareth.
Ps. The 350i sounds a lot better IMO I don't get the same popping noises on the over run from the chimaera.
Yes, I still have the 350i but I havn't had a chance to do much with it recently so its still very much in bits. Yep, the alternator was me, I was having a bit of a clear out of some of the wedge bits I've accumulated. Just in case theres a problem with it let me know as it had been sat in my loft for a while.

To the 350i owner who jump started my chimaera at Harfield Tesco's where I had managed to flatten my battery.
That will teach me to use it a bit more!!
Thanks again,
Gareth.
Having ended up with a flattened battery in the 450 there a month ago they must be getting used to TVRs packing up in the carpark (or petrol station where I was). Nice chap was 'volunteered' to jump start the car but my jump leads melted
Ended up getting the wife to tow me round the car-park using the Saab to bump start it. Just goes to show that a 1.5 mile drive from the house is not enough to charge the battery again !Your okay Gareth I didnt buy the alternator, I was interested as it has the cowl over the blades, but I was away for a few days and forgot and it had obviously come to an end by the time I looked again.
Your right about the noise - mine does have a reputation on the South Coast! I did manage to get about half a Pistonheads meeting out of the Pub just for them to listen as I drove off, thanks to comments made by the Guys who followed me there!
