I'd heard you had modde dthe ZR1 - but chrsit not that much - what is involved - more complex that the older SBC or LS series I presume?!
Amongst other things its had a stroker crank fitted to take it out to 7 litres,it also benefits from a slight over bore,i dismantled the top end to have larger valves fitted plus some major porting and polishing done by an LT5 tuner in the states.
The same guy that did zr1368's valves and porting did mine and when it all went back together everything matched to a tee,the big difference from the other engines is the 4 cams,a bit of a pig to time at first but after doing it the umpteenth time its not too bad.
It feels very strong just listening to it and hopefully the dyno should record healthy numbers.
With regards to oil filters.
The yanks and their imperial threads do make life difficult for some.
The sump is drilled M20x1.5 There is a steel adaptor screwed into it, that has a 13/16" thread for a filter.
What a cock up that is if you want to buy filters in the UK, that will fit in the confines of the sump.
I just got a M20 to M20 steel adaptor, so now virtually any filter available in the UK will fit. I think the one I was using ( Purflux LS923 I think, peugeot fitment or similar ) costs about £1
No doubt there are others, but it was the first one on the shelf.

I get all my standard Corvette stuff from a company called Autoway Chevrolet in Tampa.
I phone a guy in parts called Ash Vyas, he rapes my credit card and about a week later a box arrives at my front door from the Fedex man.......bargain
I get 40% off as I do so much trade with Ash, so if you need filters I would expect to pay about $4 for them!

Where's the best place to get a standard C5 filter?
Oil change needed fairly sharpish and can't be bothered with ordering from the states for a couple of filters....
Cheers,
Chris
ps- nice hornets nest been stirred up by the video of a Gallardo being beaten by a C6 Z06 in a rolling street race on GG - hehehe.

Nige ,do you think they would do ZR-1 oil Filters?
In Black???
I bought 3 filters while out there last year. The one I fitted when I got back was blue and I have just opened the other 2 to find that they are black like the OEM filters were.
I would think that they sell them. Call me if you want Ash's direct dial number.
