Is it me, or is this a fantastically good buy?

Why so cheap? Is it because of the colour scheme? I mean, hard top, nitrons, A048s, very low miles, MY04 car....in May I paid £23k for a v low mileage 111S with hardtop/aircon (ok i did have £1k of leather work done too) from a dealer, but even so - how so cheap?!!?

yep, 16.000,-gbp is cheap...hm...and with all that stuf 7.000 miles only and not realy bad color...hmm the guy wanted to buy a honda engined caterham.
But maybe when you look good at the picture, its taken on a track and maybe that 7.000miles most have bin done on track? and also he maybe can take that car to the limits?(thats probebly why he wanted a caterham/honda?) so thats hard for anny car...
But when its a good car all around then ist a bargain I think.

I have seen this car before and trying to remember the history but seem to recall its spent pretty much all of its life on track. However, so long as the oil changes and history is all up together, I don't see this as a massive problem and the price certainly seems very reasonable, regardless.

So, roughly, how much would that car in non-track-guise be? 17?
Theres the pisser with track mods, take them off and flog them speratly for around £2k, refit the original equipment and the perceived general market value of the car remins or goes up.
Memo to self: do not cash in, must keep my original stuff.
Bum! If I'd already had the redundacy cheque in my hand, I'd have snapped this straight up!
Even if it's spent 6,000 miles on its life being thrashed on the track, it'll be setup well and with a bit of TLC I'm sure it'd be as good as new (Tony - I guess you had almost a whole new interior for 1k?)
And I quite like green with yellow stripes - not my first choice, but not my last either!

Yup, whole interior brand spanking new (the original was black leather everywhere; looked good but, especially on a black car, I wanted t red interior - something a bit more extravagant). I got the centre console done also, and so I came out of it with a brand new interior (which I've never had before so was very happy
) in a colour that I liked

Sounds sweet
Any pics?
Black with a red interior normally seems to work very well. Especially with a red roof IMHO.
The closest Elise colour scheme I've seen to my idea of perfection was a nightfire red S1 with an exige front clam, red roof and light tan leather interior with red gearstick surround, door inserts and harnesses. Black with red interior comes close!

It's that price for a reason - I spoke to the owner who is very honest about it, as I was considering it as a Honda mule.
According to him it did 1k as a demonstrator and then he's done approx 6k track miles with it. It lives at Blink Motorsport, they maintain it and transport it to track days when he wants to use it. I'm confident that it has been well maintained, and I know guys who have seen it on track and it is not driven hard.
Personally if you're looking for a Honda mule, this is a good buy, even if you're not, and you get it well checked, I still think it's a good buy.
