Traffic Light Grand Prix
Discussion
What do you do when the spotty youth in his 1.2 corsa pulls up alongside at the lights whilst revving his engine & edging forward?
(assuming you are on an open road with no traffic)
Do you:
A : let him beat you from the lights, as you never rise to the challenge.
B : Scream off the lights to teach him a lesson.
C : Let him go for 100 Yards, then reel him in, proving your car is quicker and it doesn't matter who is initially faster from the lights.

I wish I could say I rise above it but I tend to set off fairly sedately and then blast past when the turbo kicks in.
I'll grow up one day.
Most people don't realise how fast my car is so I more often get reps in mid-range BMWs etc. trying to do the right-lane skip the traffic technique more than laxers in Corsas.

Rev the engine like mad, and then turn left.
Same. Rev it so the whole car rocks bodily on its springs, and then rumble off gently in a different direction.
Mind you, most chavved Imprezas could beat my humble S off the lights, so best not to race really. My car was built for burbling along, not drag racing.
