Factory message re: Noble Owners' Day

In case any Noble owners are waiting for the factory to announce dates for one of its own events later in '06, please note that we will NOT be running any such days this year. We are looking forward to the newly-formed Noble Owners Club taking over full responsibility for owners' days, starting with their Brands event on Sunday 29th January. This will have Noble's full approval and we would encourage all owners to take advantage of what looks like being an entertaining and inexpensive day at a world-class circuit.

Why? The owners club has been set up with the full backing of the factory in order that it can run the owners days and remove some of the pressure from the small team that make our cars.
Whats the problem with that? The factory will still have a presence and be supporting the events.

Absolutely Gregor, Noble Automotives' primary aim is to sell motors (returning profit for its owners and investors) and not to make cups of tea for customers!

Also, name one other manufacturer that organises track days themselves? Err - that'll be none. The owners club has been a missing part of Noble for some time, why are you having such a downer (seemingly missguided) about it?

As regards a Noble trackday in the North, we will be running three days this year as joint TVR and Noble days at Croft. I hope that we get more than the two Nobles there this time, as that was all we had last year!! Dates will follow soon and we are working with the Noble Owners Club to promote these events. I think there will always be a bit of a North / South divide for Noble owners Richard. It is always difficult to bring any Southern Owners to Northern Track Days (Croft).
I have to say I fully support the Noble Owners Club. I am happy to offer assistance whenever I can. That means maybe a ride and drive day. Ride our bikes a suitable location (North Wales, Scottish Borders) with our motorhome support, and drive some fantastic roads. Due to my business commitments, I will not be able to make the 29th Jan meeting, and without wishing to dampen any enthusiasm, I think it is a little too early in the season to fill 50 places, but I hope the owners Club will try for a more Central Circuit location for the next track day.
Richard, we could form our Northern branch of the owners club? 2 members so far. Any other takers.

There's no dissapointment Richard
Jool's and myself had a great meeting with Lee and Simon yesterday. They couldn't have been more positive about the club and are 110% behind supporting us and coming along to our days.
Just to confirm, there will be two big meetings per year. One at a southern based track and one at a Northern one. These will be fully supported by the Factory and the third party guys.(and will hopefully be bigger and better than the Rockingham ones ever were (Sorry Simon!)) In between times, we hope to organise a whole array of other events. Some local, as well as trips; perhaps to Anglessy, Le Mans to watch the 24hr or visits to the Nurburgring / Monza.
I will be getting my teeth into sorting the Donington one (OK I know that's not exactly North!) as soon as Brands is out of the way. Hopefully having learnt a few things along the way! In the meantime, keep in touch with tony at HHC who has got some plans for a few days up there.

Double thumbs up for Jools, Owen and Noble. An official NOC is a must and quite right what other manufacturer does its own track days? I agree January is a bit early in the season but you learn from your lessons and its a sharp start for the club. The support from the factory is very welcome but not suprising given their general beyond the call of duty response to owners needs. So its all going well and then; Donington for the second owners day - could not be better! A NOC convoy to Le Mans - allways wanted to do Le Mans, as part of a NOC what better way to loose the proverbial.
Well done all. Its a pity that we'll probably only see 20-30 cars on the day but thats still more than the very first owners event which was held at Brands some years ago when we got 6 together.
Its a good start keep going.

It was a very constructive discussion, and the factory has given the owners club it's full support.
As a result of the discussion we had yesterday, it was agreed that Simon would make a posting idicating that the owners club would take up responsibility of the owners club track days.
It's an exciting time for the club, and the owners. I'm hoping that as many of you as possible will make the effort to come on the 29th, even if it's not to drive, but to meet up with other owners.
It takes a great deal of effort and time to get a club off the ground, and any show of support makes it all worthwhile.

Owen has kindly booked me a great place to stay, there still seems to be large amounts of camping on the circuit available, and Goodlife has a place ~20km North of LeMans so if you fancy coming I am sure there will be plenty of places to stay.
