At last I have a picture of my 993.

But how do I get it into my profile?

you need to bang it on the web in any old photo host

fotango
sony image station
shutterfly

etc.

then stick the link in the my profile/Car picture URL.

good luck!

thanks.

I managed to get my pic onto fotango, and then fot a link attached to it. but when I put the link into the box in the profile it doesn't seem to work.

Must be doing something wrong.

The link is - http://photos.fotango.com/p/eba00549226f00000001.jpg

Okay it seems to have worked now, just by uploading the image from my pc direct to PH.

Or at least I can see the pic in my profile, but I'm wondering if that's because I'm on the same pc. Would be grateful if someone could confirm I have a pic on my profile.

Thanks guys.

I'm well pleased with my humble C2.

In case you think that having spent all my savings on the Porche, I'm now living in the rather rustic hovel you see behind it in the pic, I just want to point out that it's the kids' playhouse/treehouse.

So how do you post a pic on fotango and then place it in a post so it appears as a pic rather than a link? (sorry I'm not very good on computer stuff).

Open these first,
http://tinypic.com/

hit 'browse' and then click once on the image in your docs (or wherever you keep them)

next hit 'host'
then, wait a few seconds for them to bugger about with it (all free)

take the 'link' string of characters
simply paste it into PH reply box with;

[pic]
on front and,

[/pic]

on tail end, and submit reply,
thats it.

In tinypics I've 'browsed' for his picture of a porsche
which I saved earlier in the usual way,

I'he hit host picture, and they have returned a 'link'
(in the first box)
right click and cut that whole line of characters,

paste into the PH reply, (where you add text normally)

add
[pic] in front of string
[/pic] on back end

try this,
it may take you a few attempts to do it easilly,
we all struggled a bit with first tries

No not quite.

Picture obviously too large, but I can't see anyway to make it smaller.

Nice motor Gadgit.

Nearly went for a cab myself as I quite fancied a bit of that 'wind in the hair' stuff.

Then I looked in the mirror, remembered I had no hair, and opted for my 993 coupe.

Your motor looks good in white, but it must be a nightmare keeping it clean, and also refusing all those requests to help out at weddings
