Delving through some of the old plastic tonight I came across my number one in this list so I thought I would see what other gems people out there hold nearly and dealer in the 'propper moosic' category.

Ride - Vapour trail
Joy Division - She's lost control
Doves - Sea song
Jesus Jones - Right here, right now
The The - That certain smile
Morrissey - Suedehead
Pixies - Velouria
Stills - Still in love

What's that first track on Pablo Honey?

Can't remember, but I love that.

Good shout, I got two great bootleg CDs by them today, a full album of remixes and another album of rare, live and acoustic songs. The acoustic version of Mr Brightside is epic!

Talking about vinyl got me thinking about mine, so here are my faves from my record box rather than cd (so they're all a bit older)

The Brilliant Corners - Teenage
The Field Mice - Missing The Moon
The Wedding Present - My Favourite Dress
Teenage Fanclub - The Concept
Primal Scream - I'm Losing More Than I'll Ever Have
Pixies - Wave Of Mutilation
Wah! - The Story of The Blues (is that indie?)
Ned's Atomic Dustbin - Aim

In no particular order as I am currently under the influence of Belgiums finest :

The Cult : Sanctuary, Brother Wolf Sister Moon
The Mission : Wasteland
The The : This is the day
Joy Division : She's lost control
Human League : WXJ tonight,Empire State Human
Kraftwerk : Neon Lights
Smiths : How soon is now
Thomas Dolby : Flying North, Airwaves
Depeche Mode : err they are all good (INMHO)
New Order : see post above
Stone Roses : Fools Gold, Waterfall, She bangs the Drums etc..

Anyway you get the general idea stuck in a 80's/early 90's timewarp, and yes the people responsible for any form of "lets get a talentless ex soapstar/I shagged a footballer/I think I can sing on national television coz Sharon Osborne told me I/we is good" should be encouraged to take up cliff diving at Beachy Head.

Incontrovertibly, and utterly absolute - it simply has to be either "She bangs the drums" or "Waterfall" by the Roses...

Definately! I've got the double pack with the Thin White Duke remixes as well - place always goes off when that one's dropped in!
