Looking for picture

I had a beautiful picture of a Griffith as my computer background when it crashed (the computer not the car). The car was burgandy, 3/4 front view, covered with rain drops and in a cobblestone alley with an old brick building (factory?) as a back drop. Does this ring any bells out there?

Sound's like a pic that was part of the card's detailing The Griff 500, in fact i recon its card issue 7 number 13 but this car look's like BRG to me but set in cobbled street with a factory back ground perhaps near Bristol Av.

Hope that's of ony use.

Sorry, your right it was BRG ! I am not familiar with "card's detail". Is there a web site or page where I can find it?

Sorry have no idea but i have no doubt someone on hear will know a way and a place you can down load it from.

Sorry i cannot be any further help to you i only recognised it as it was the card i had on my notice board since about 1998 when all my work mate's thought i lived on Fantsy Island!!

I found it somewhere about 3 years ago and had it for my background on the computer until it crashed and have not been able to find it again. If I had that picture (or one of Pamala Anderson) when I was a boy, I wouldn't have gotten any homework done.

Can't help with the one you are looking for although I think a photo like the on you described is on the original Griffith sales brochure.

In the meantime you are welcome to use these if they are any good?

I don't know if you saw this. I'm pretty sure it's the pic you wanted judging by your description. If I knew how to post a picture in this reply I'd do it.

By the way, this pic is also in Roger Shakleton's book "The TVR Griffith Story" on page 290 with the caption "Last Griffith 500 (pre-the '500 SE') brochure's car".

This book is a good read for any Griffith devotee. Quite different from reading Steve Heath's "The TVR Griffith and Chimaera" - as in, you can read it as a book, it isn't a sort-of workshop manual.
