I've just statred using Outlook after years with Outlook Express.
Has been working fine until today

When I click on send/receive it only receives leaving my messages that need to be sent in the outbox, any ideas as to the problem?

Cheers Rich

could it be your SMTP settings are incorrect - are you requiring SSL or authentication for your host?

goto tools-email accounts and check through the settings to make sure that they are the same as Outlook Express

Doc
They were the same, but I've now ticked the box asking for authentication (the same as outgoing).

It seems to work now thanks

a lot of ISP's are starting to do this as they believe it will start to cut down on SPAM - the person needs to authenticate with the SMTP server rather than been able fire emails at them as they choose.
