Hi Folks,
I haven,t had the pleasure of posting on this forum before so a Big Hi to you all! Now my question is this, I plan to buy my first Beemer in a few weeks (530d or 525d) and hoped you could point me in the direction of a good but cheap insurance company.
Cheers,Tom

£440/year for 330 M Sports coupe with Direct Line. I've had to make a claim with them for my other car and they've been fine.

Try Tesco.
My renewal on the Roadster S was £716.00 inclusive of NCD protection and legal cover.
They were also great when I made a claim with my Tuscan,(I was non-blameworthy) but they made everything so easy with no hassles.

Cool! Thanks for that , looks like Tesco is worth a try! (Were coming back to the U.K in a few days so please ignore our profile)Might try a quote for the " Blue and White beast" with Tesco also.We have used Norwich Union in the past and found them very poor to deal with.
Thanks again for all the info guys!

It's just a marketing front for one of the big insurers. Can't remember which one.

If you've two cars it's worth noting that Bell Direct were the only ones I found to give me a discount on the second car equivalent to my No Claims Discount, which made a lot of difference, as you can imagine. Over time you earn NCD on the second one, so you're not tied to them for ever.

They're helpful and efficient over the phne too, in my experience.

Nationwide used to do that too. Not been with them for a couple of years as Tesco was cheaper when I got rid of the toy....

I agree.. Admiral were cheapest for me too.. £700 fully comp for a 97' 328i sport auto... I'm 25 and had no no-claims bonus either... (Not because i am a nutter behind the wheel, but because my last BM was broken into and I lost all my no claims!!)
