I've spent a lot of time travelling over the years and have stayed in some superbly luxurious hotels.

Some of the beds I've slept in have been absolutely enormous, and stunningly sumptuous.!!!

I'm 6' 3" and have a king-sized bed at home, but would love to upgrade to something which gives even more space.

The missus would like the extra room aswell - as our beloved Springer sleeps on the bed with us and seems to grow to the size of a horse during the night. (please - no pun intended).!!

Do any of you know where I can find such a large bed (Quality beds of course).

Not to bothered about price or location, so long as it can be delivered. URL's welcome.

yeah, i think you will have to get it specially made. we bought a very large bed at auction and had to get the mattress (sp?) specially made. from memory i think the bed was 6foot 6inches wide.

The biggest you can normally get is a Super King Size, 6' wide, though only 6'3" long. I'm 6'4" and never seem to notice my feet hanging out the end though. You can buy sheets and stuff in this size a few stores - John Lewis seems the best.

Hijack thread, sorry We have just bought some new mattresses which were supposed to be 90cms wide by 190 cms long. When we put them on the bed, they looked a bit short, and measuring, they turn out to be 185 cms. I called John Lewis to complain and they said mattresses settle and stretch after a while to the correct length and like the car dealers "they all do that sir".

I've never heard of this before, so has anyone else experienced this?

Their price calculator has some glitches!

Select a Eloise (Contemporary) and choose Leather fabric. Then select 8'x6'9. It will tell you it's £237,895.00! Then select 8'x7'3 and it drops back to a more sensible £3,584.00.

We've got a 7' x 7' bed made by Vispring, base is in 2 pieces mattress is a single piece, I believe that they will make most custom sizes - they are a UK company that make excellent quality pocket-sprung matterasses and I can vouch for the quality as top-notch, having been around the factory on a professional visit.

I saw the biggest bed in the world at a club called KU in Ibiza (its now called Privlidge I think). Had to be big enough for 30 people. In fact whilst having a little sit down during the carnage, 6 nurses in stocking and suspenders came and took my pulse and mopped my brow.

Then a dwarf came along and made me a balloon animal.... ah those were the days.

Anyway yes...the bed was huge - I beleive it was used in a Madonna video before the Manumission crew got hold of it.
