Further to my recent purchase of an XBox 360, to make the most of it, I really 'need' a ND Ready display.

Right, so my RP telly doesn't support HD (but is only 18months old so not worth replacing just yet), BUT, my PC monitor is just a cheapy 17" CRT.

So, methinks that replacing the PC monitor with one that also has support for HD (component input) could be the way to go, especially with some having Freeview decoders built in (but that's not strictly necessary).

26" Sumsung LE-26R41BD is obvious choice, but Samsung 730MP also looks good (not decoder though).

Any other ideas/suggestions?

Or buy any decent monitor with dual inputs, and run the X-Box 360 vga cable into one, and your PC into the other?

Waiting for a 360 VGA cable so I can test with my monitor, a 20" widescreen dell.

It doesnt need component input to support HD, all monitors capable of throwing a 1280 x 720 pixel image can display a HD image.

Then all you need is a component>vga lead which are plentiful or easy to build if you need a particularly long one

High end monitors with BNC component ins are RGBHV most DVD players with component out are YPbPr
