Hi Guys, i now have the engine out and the Big valve/cammed/compressed 4.6 will be in very soon! However steamed all the engine bay, and the power steering pipes look WELL past their best, they are perished and not long for this earth. they run under the sump if anyone wishes to inspect their own.

Yes, I changed mine a couple of years back when one started to get a bit crumbly, although mine go vertically down from the pump to the rack, and along the rack itself. Nowhere near the sump

the condition of the actual pipe on mine was fine but the end blew off just as I was braking to turn into a hairpin bend on a trackday a few years ago....made for an interesting arm wrestling match! Also meant power steering fluid got sprayed all over the track and a nice hot manifold....
