Spotted: P* EAL - The fastest thing I've ever seen
Discussion
A46 Lincoln - Newark, saturday 7th Jan. Had the pleasure of chasing what looked like a RUF'd up 996 GT2. It was pouring with rain, but this thing was simply out of this world. Considering the conditions, I've never seen acceleration like it on a road car. My 997 felt like a MkII Escort trying to keep up. Does anyone know the car?
NB When I use the term chasing, I just mean following. We were not racing, and neither of us exceeded the 70mph speed limit.

In spite of popular belief it is actually possible for southern vehicles to venture north. Just join the A1 and keep peddling. He was headed back to that there London anyway.

I know most of the Porkers around Newark but never seen that one, would someone drive a GT2 like that in the wet!
It was all straight line stuff, he was very careful at roundabouts, as was I.
It obviously could've been a GT2 kit, there were no Porsche badges anywhere, the weather was so bad I couldn't make out any of the monikers. Whatever it was it looked the business and was devilishly fast.

um, i think your finger just slipped off the 6 and onto the 7 there (the national speed limit being 60 on A roads?)
Well, if it's a dual carriageway section on an A road it would be national speed limit (70mph) if the white disc with black line is displayed

It's 70 on dual carriageways, unless restricted, which this section of the A46 isn't.

Lincoln is the cultural and economic centre of Up North. It keeps a low profile to maintain cheap property prices, and to keep out Cockerneys. We have the largest theatre in the UK, a sporting centre of excellence with the highest standards anywhere in Europe, and the financial district around The Stonebow has a turnover only slightly smaller than the City of London. You should visit, but don't move here.

To help identify it, did the car have quad exhausts like this?
