There I was last night sitting in the lounge catching up on some TV I'd recorded during the week and wondering where the weekend had gone again, when I heard a crash by the front door. No sign of anything fallen over inside the house so I opened the front door and peered out to find the mains feed cable to the house drooping towards the front door, I stepped out to see the cable festooned accross the parked Liz, over the fence, accross the next door neighbours garden and accross the road to the pole. Having secured the assistance of my neighbour to control traffic accross the downed - still live - cable, we found what appeared to be a tree he didn't own on his front lawn and the large metal brackett which secured the wire to the house wall embedded in the fence about 1 Ft from the Liz and just short of the neighbours A6 Quattro (fresh from the menders) and a piece of granite about 1Ft x 1Ft hanging out of the wall at roof level where the brackett had been

Seems a large lorry snagged the 15 Ft branch (mistaken for tree) from a tree further up the road, this then snagged my overhead cable and wrenched the fitting clear off the front wall; on inspecting the car this morning there is a fair amount of dust from the exploding wall but not a scratch ; should I buy a Lottery Ticket whilst my luck holds??
