I know that the problem I have with refuelling my T350 is a common one, what i posted here for is to find out how you clean it off. I normally wash the car down then before i lock it up in the garage i run the hose over her.

However, no matter how hard i scrub with a soft sponge i cannot seem to remove the stain left by the petrol. Ne tips on how i can remove it easily?

Thanks.

Ask the guys at Silverstone Performance. They serviced my car (excellently by the way) and when I got it back it was pristine. Whatever they washed it with removed the petrol stain that I had not been able to move.

Wipe it off as soon as you do it - don't let it dry. I carry a soft rag solely for this purpose.

A tip for people wanting to prevent any overspill. In most petrol stations there are green paper towels hanging in holders on the pilars by the pumps. Before I start to fill I always grab a green paper towel or 2, then once I have filled up and the nozzel has dripped dry (usually helped by a bit of shaking, I pull the nozzel out and quickly cover the end with the green paper towel. Thus avoiding any spillage or drips to get on to the paintwork.
