I thought I'd ask the question as I always get gasped at when people see that I let my other half drive my Exige

Well, do you let the spouse / partner / anyone else behind the wheel of your pride & joy? Other than a technicial of course.

Answers on a postcard....

Yes, but my better half doesn't really like the car, except in summer with the roof off. I let my friend and neighbour drive it at the last trackday at Bedford - I had the flu. He even drove us home. (I drive his TVR occasionally)

Mrs Gooby has driven it twice. The first time, I was unwell and I panicked all the way. The second time was almost enjoyable.

I let Kirky Wirky drive it once but after doing 120 round sandbanks (a 30) he's now banned.
I mean, who'd do speeds like that?

Hi all,

The Liz belongs to both of us, Mrs Boggy is a very capable driver some times drives a little to fast, you should have seen her driving Stratton's Exige demo. Guy seemed pretty impressed when she returned, I could hear it from about half a mile away

I don't think I'd be in the good books! I couldn't do that anyway, it has it's benefits - when i'm out on the piss (only very occasionally of course) it makes sure that I'm picked up in a stylish motor. Sod getting in a manky octavia with furry seats

yeah - GF is insured and drives it when she likes...she used to have a Tuscan and has done a few Walshy days training etc...shes usually quicker than most of the blokes

Most of my Elise owning friends have driven it also, and on airfield days Ive been on Ive let anyone present have a go in it....its just a car and theres nothing to hit on an airfield

First time my partner got behind the wheel she engaged reverse by mistake, looked behind as she thought that was going to be her direction of travel, and promptly went up the back of my van Had only just picked the car up from the dealer She usually drives it like she stole it

Had my car 14 months and the only other person who's driven it is my dad who put about 15 miles on it!

None of my mates are insured (some aren't very good drivers anyway and wouldn't appreciate the extra risks of mid engined) to drive it.

One mate who I am going to let drive it does a lot of Formula Ford racing. He's also very responsible on the roads. Just need him to turn 25 before the Insurance Co. will cover him!

Absolutely, totally and utterly, without exception NO WAY will I let my GF drive the Elise!

She drive's like an absolute nutter! We all went karting for a friends b-day and she went from last on the grid to 1st in the 1st corner just by crashing everyone else off the track!! She is a believer that bumpers are their to hit things with!!

yeah, I once had a girl(very nice) who was only 1.52meter...never had a problem who's driving ..............she could not reach the pedals of that car, so no worry
