Fiat Coupe tweaking
Discussion
Hi all, I'm not usually on this forum, but wanted some specific expertise.
One of the girls at work, or should I say her hubby, has recently bought a beautiful black Coupe off e-bay. She's very happy with it, and quite right too. Apparently it has amazing oomph. She reports that it has an output of 290 bhp. As far as I know, the max output on a Fiat coupe as stock was 220 bhp in the last incarnation.
Is it feasible to get this kind of output from the engine? You'd have to blow the be-jesus out of it! Her grasp of the figures might be a little off as
1) She's a girl and
2) She's a biker chick, this being her first inspiring car.
I'm just intrigued, as I was seriously interested in getting one of these cars myself when they were still in production.
Thanks for your help.

Yes it is more than likely that the Coupe is running 290bhp, probably as a result of running a bigger turbo such as a GT28R or RS, chip/remap and one or two other mods. There are quite a few Coupes running over 300bhp, with one in particular running 500bhp. Have a look at this website for more info - www.fccuk.org/forum/ubbthreads.php?Cat=0
