I must make the effort to get along to one of these dates this year. I can hear the F1 cars going round from where I work, which is really infuriating!

Anyone can turn up and view. Paddock restrictions will be in place, but most of the time you can walk around there too. Good chance for pics and views without the crowds. Would try and get on the inside of copse for close/fast viewing or round but brooklands where the assembly area is. Not too sure of the back end though. Also dress like it will be -20!!!

Having spent yesterday and today at the Jerez test I'd encourage anyone who's thinking of going to do it

I just telephone Silverstone and there is restricted access, but it is free. If anyone is going, do you want to meet some where. Let me know.

Received an email from Silverstone re F1 testing dates (in italics below).
Many thanks for your e-mail.

The F1 Test dates at Silverstone are as follows, please note we cannot guarantee that all dates will go ahead or attendance of any teams.

February 27 - 28
April (Pre GP) 25 - 27
June 13 - 15
September 19 - 21
October 11 - 12

Entry is free of charge and viewing is restricted to the Luffield area only.

The dates I first posted come from f1racing.net, they are very good and finding out when teams are testing. .E.g. they posted in advance, Silverstone Dec 15th 2005, which was a Red Bull test with 1 car. The dates that Silverstone haven't listed will, I guess, be closed to the public.

Hi guy's,

As the April test is the last S'stone test before the British GP - do you think it will be well attended by the teams?

What time do the gates open for testing.

Cheers

Anyone planning on going over on Monday or Tuesday ? I'm going to take a drive over there on Monday with a mate to see what's going on. Be an excuse for a day out if nothing else
