I have heard of another type of wireless internet connection other than bluetooth, what is it called?! I can't remember it!

the variety you're probably referring to is 802.11b - 11mbps wireless ethernet (WLAN) aka Aironet and other trademarked nonsense names...

This differs from bluetooth in so far as bluetooth is a 'personal' wireless format and only has an operating range of a couple of metres..
