Over the last two days I've had 2 oil psi warnings when starting the car from cold each time and a brief flash up of ECU Error?

Is this normal? As in something to live with.

Our car (tamora) always has oil pressure warnings when the car is started. I don't believe it is anything to worry about.

Same here (after nearly 2 years of it), it is most probably nothing to worry about

Same here - ECU error has occurred intermittently, and only for a split second when it does. ie, I do not have to cancel the error using the L/R button controls.
I know the oil pressure sensor is up the creek on my 'Gris, and has been for a while - what you have may be the start of it - so long as your oil is up to the level, and you watch the temp I doubt it is anything other than a faulty sensor. As you've probably gathered there have been quite a few problems with the sensors - do a search on the threads.

I also have the problem now of the speedo playing up - but it does jump back in on bumpy roads, so expect it is a connection issue. 12K at HHC in a couple of weeks so not too worried.

Thanks guys,

Mind is now at rest. All the temps and pressures are spot on and as RPA says they do not register for long enough to be cancelled.

Hi Mc.

You will get the oil pressure warning as the warning kicks in before any oil pressure can register,if you watch it quickly enough to see it usually says "warning oil pressure 1lb" It goes off as soon as you get a few more pounds up. If it stays on is when you worry. This is not a faulty sensor of any kind just a very sensitive one.
I get this everytime and also a minus temperature warning when it is freezing outside, and door open warning, etc; etc; Only ones that stay on are a worry.
Hope you are enjoying your car, will be picking ours up on the 23rd.

Pete.

Agreed re start up/oil pressure warning - missed the point a bit there.
The rest of my comment about the OP sensor stands - not the best in the world.

Point of interest - the frost warning: might have missed something in the handbook, but it does appear to be very insistent - have been a couple of occasions it has gone off consistently, despite cancelling. Anyone else the same?

Richard - on my Tuscan, the Frost warning continuously goes on/off when the temp hovers around 2c. If it stays below or above this mark - no worries, but when driving and the temp changes constantly around this mark, the journey turns into a constant battle to stop the beeping! Not sure there is any solution to this.....

Jeez, if I saw saw that on a Porsche I think I'd have to lift the nearest brick! I think a Sag could carry it off. Especially a bright orange one. It'll certainly draw attention, and there is no doubting that

Post the pic when you have done the deed.

Gary.

Cool, The Sagaris Saga is on going...............

I've just posted a few place holders in the diary but will pad them out in the near future. I'm also going to trawl through here for good tips to put under my Top Tip page.

As for the plate, I've had them made up but cannot put them on the car until I recieve the V5 in my name

Now I just need a nice set of carbon fibre exhausts and the car is finished!!

I used craigspaltes.co.uk to create my show plates.
