from email - "Plans Become European Dealer For ForcedFed. Forcedfed, a US based tuning firm for the Lotus Elise have appointed Plans Motorsport as their European dealer. With over 2500 Toyota engined Elises having been sold in the US, the Americans are leading the way in terms of getting more power from this engine. We can now supply and fit ForcedFed parts including a 275bhp Elise Turbo kit for the Toyota engined variants".

Will this power upgrade benefit from the association with Plans who seem to be highly regarded ? So whos first in the queue ....

Dont like turbo's. Forcefed do SC kits for the K series, will they do one for the 'yota?

A couple of the forcefed yota conversions have gone bang - 2 in new Zealand / Australia iirc. I will get and post the details.

Over the bridge to the dark side (the brecon beacons) can see for miles around but have to watch out for suicidal sheep.

I can add another to that.... Roger's freshly built Exige Turbo nipped a ring after about 3 laps on track last week..... At the moment he's got about the same reliability as a NHRA top fuel dragster.

So for the moment no forcedfed turbo I guess, or was the reason they've gone bang a drivers/mechanic fault? wrong oil or wrong treadment?
I like the SC more anyway, anyone knows bad things happens to SC yota cars? and the 280RR Twin srew charger sounds like carheaven

think i remeber reading that that the failures were apparently due to incorrect installation. though this was according to forcefed

im quite suprised plans have got involved as they seem to have a growing decent reputation. so it could be at risk if this kit isnt up to the job

infact here is the link with more info about these blown engines

I do not like the idea of turboing that toyota engine. SC would be much better. The yota lump is more peaky tha page 3 of the sun. Turbo may make it even more on/off.

I agree...I have driven some turbo cars myself...even in the early days with the BIG turbo-gap(was fun though making warp speed jokes )
