I've taken the plunge and ordered a new Z06 from Stratstones of Park Lane. Delivery in June 06. Has anyone in the UK got one or driven one yet?

Hi Jack, there are a couple of guys who posted on here a month or 2 back who have already got there's or they are in the process of getting theirs.

Do a search back thru the postings on this Forum to find the relevant threads.

Good luck and the next 6 months are gonna kill you waiting

BTW have you joined the club?

Hi Vettehead

I've done a search, some great stuff but nobody from the UK who has one. Strathstones get one tomorrow so I'm going to check it out.

Many thanks

jackg, have you really ordered one this week for delivery this June? Please e-mail me if you prefer to take the discussion off line

Mr. G, first: congratulations. Excellent choice!

Secondly, good luck: if you really get yours in June it'll be earlier than the last two estimates they've given me for my car, which was ordered last September (originally for March delivery).

I'll be interested in yor progress reports, and I'll share mine/show you the car if I get it even vaguely soon. Mine's LMB.

Went and saw the black one today. Beautiful!

Hi Cheeky

That sounds ominous! I ordered mine in Dec and they said SEpt but in reality more like June. I saw the black one too. It reminds me a bit of my favorite car the Ferrari 288GTO.

Will keep you informed. Do you live in London? I'm in Wandsworth.

OK, I misunderstood. I was sure you said you'd ordered yours LAST WEEK and were getting it in June. At least the stories they've told us sound more consistent now.

I can't wait! Not sure what to do between needing to sell my Tuscan in prime buying time (March-April I guess) and getting the Z06 in June/July. Must admit I was very close to pulling the order when they said September.

Maybe I should finally get round to buying a TR7 or VW Camper van for a laugh to fill the interim period...

I'm in Battersea. Sounds like we may have to meet up for a blast together in the Summer.

I REALLY hope I get mine before a trip to Scotland that I have due in June because it'll be an awesome way to run it in (on the way up there) with free rein to drive it "properly" on the way back...

Ahh I see you are a dirty biker too.

I've got a Caterham CSR260 to play with until then, that is if I ever get it back from the factory having broken again!

2 Z06's in SW11 will be fun!

Yeah; the bike's not so good for carting my rifles around, though. But it may yet be the solution...

Is yours going to be LMB too? If so, it may be confusing in ASDA car park but a laugh down at the Ship...

It is LMB but I wanted Red. I live next to The Ship. Don't tell me you have shiny wheels and sat nav too?

Don't suppose anyone wants to let on what they've agreed for the car with what options do they?

I've seen Stratstones advertising new Z06s 60k but not sure what you need to add to that.

Out of my current price band unfortunately so think i'm going to go for a 911 GT3 until I can pick up someone's run in Black C6 Z06.

2 in SW11 eh, well there will be a Z06 in SW1 soon too!
My Z06 should be here by now but apparently it is still on a boat on it's way to Rotterdam. Probably will be Mid Feb before I see it. Unfortunately my Camaros insurance is about to run out so I'll have to walk until then.
Caterham CSR eh? Very nice indeed. Wonder how quick that is compared to my Sylva Fury?
Kit Cars and V8 yanks....obviously I'm not the only one with such a strange mixture of tastes for both lightness and sheer grunt. I've gone mad and am building an LS1 powered 7 type car, complete with 8 speed sequential gearbox. Sometimes these things can go a bit too far don't they!

Good to hear there's some cars on the way and look forward to seeing them on the road. Form an orderly queue for the lightly used still under warranty ones please! OK, you can have the black one.

I trust that doesn't mean you've got a black one for sale, does it (if so, I'll take it now)? Nah, didn't think so.

jammy so-and-so, ordering your car after mine and getting it sooner... yours wasn't on offer when I stumped up - I think it was swapped in for a yellow or red one

enjoy... then tell us about it

I know where you can get a red one almost right away!

no shiny wheels for me

you've probably seen my Tuscan and the Daytona outside the Ship every so often...
