New Cans Fitted and ............
Discussion
...........WOW. What a difference. Just fitted a pair of Carbon Can Co coloured titanium cans to the Tuscan 2. The noise is just glorious. Not sure how we will cope on a long journey but I'm sure we will get used to it. The colour also goes well with the paint work.
So if anybody is toying with the idea of changing their cans to CCC, then I say do it!

Having followed a few cars with CCC cans I understand what you mean about the sound
Much richer and deeper, however I cannot cope with it for more than a couple of hours at a time (wimp me). I suppose you could always put the old ones back for long journeys if you find it a problem too !

Just got back from a run up the motorway. With the roof on, rear panel in, and the windows up, (wimp me) its not much louder than before at normal motorway speeds. However, with the roof off its probably a different story.

But I usually travel with the roof off so would notice it more (except when its frozen on before Rich has a go about the roof being on during between xmas and new year)
So I noticed last Sunday. Has your leather dried out yet?

I've got some carbon cans for my car in the shed, but i was told they're for track days only when i bought it & would be illegal to use on the road. I take it this isn't correct, so what's the best way to fit them?
AFAIK, and CCC confirmed this, there are no restrictions for cars, so I would say you were miss informed. However, there are noise restrictions on most race tracks.

They took me about 3 minutes to fit, including finding a 10mm spanner, feeding the dog, and finishing my brew. Each can is secured with one clamp. Simply loosen the clamp with a 10mm spanner, pull the old can off, put the new one on, and tighten the clamp. Bobs your uncle.

Unless your cans have been on for a while, in which case it may involve a bit more of this.

Interesting. As I am still trying to decide between a Tuscan S or 450 Cerb, this talk of pop & banging on the overrun could swing it.
Do Tuscans with CCC cans pop as much as a Cerb does on the overrun?

Ooooooooohhhhhhh Yeeeeeeeesssssss!!!!
(Although my old 4.5 Cerb did only have standard pipes and my Tuscan S has CCC cans)Gassing Station | Tuscan | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
