S4 V8 B6 - AMD Stage 1 Tuning

Thinking of getting my S4 chipped by AMD as per the title. Cost c. £850+vat. Anyone had this done and care to comment please? Does it make a noticeable difference? Thanks.

Had my S3 Stage 1 AMDed (haven't they all?) and christ it makes a difference.

Of course, different car but presumably a similar procedure/power gain claim?

S4 is non-turbo so will have nowhere near the power gains that a turbo car will.

I have the AMD stage 3 on my B6 S4. I'm not sure how much difference just the chip will make. With the normally aspirated V8 it seems to be all about breathing and hence the biggest gains are with the downpipes, cats, exhaust etc

Mines been dyno'ed at 385, 390 and 395bhp.

I had the full big conversion that supposedly took the V8 to 400 odd bhp. It was a monster of a car - amazing noise. Had a few problems but all fixed with no quibble -- would highly recommend it
