Well - After a month of ownweship I've managed to do the thing I've never done in my previous two sports cars!

I span the Tam on an oily patch of road (we checked when we were walking the road after the accident)and hit the curb with the nearside rear. The impact caused a crack in the wheel rim - I can see no ther damage on the car, nobody was hurt (apart form pride) and no other vehicles were involved.

What a pain! it totally caught me out, a mild left bend a little bit of throttle and we were gone - typical lift off oversteer but just so unexpected. Car went from straight to 180 without giving me any signs of grip breaking away.

Getting a new wheel and tyre from Henley Heritage (very helpful over the phone) and then I'll get her alignment checked. Does anybody know the cost of a four wheel alignment by TVR? What other damage may have been caused?

Cheers

Make sure that you check the drive flange for run out now, and a good visual inspection of the suspension upright combined with a four-wheel alignement check would be in order. Hope that this helps. Best regards, Tony Abrams
