Took my lad to enroll in the BB last night.
Chatting to the guy in charge and remembering my time in the BB loads of years ago i mentioned that I was once a silver bugle contender.
Two minutes later a bugle was shoved in my hand and a request of 'Give us a rendition of Reveille!!!'
After a bit of cat screaming I got a vaguely recognisable version out of the thing. Bit more practice and I was remembering all the tunes, I was quite chuffed seeing as it's 27 years since I picked one up and my only subsequent practice was my party piece of getting a tune out of anything with a hole (Vixpy1 NO ) , if you've never heard the National Anthem played on the jug of a Smoothie maker you need an invite to one of my parties!!!.
So now they've asked me to be one of the adult buglers and gave me a bugle to take home and practice!!!

Excuse me while I'm regressing back into childhood....where's my tin of Brasso???

I think you've only come on her ( I meant here but it's a funny typo so I'll leave it) to blow your own trumpet.

You'll probably start to fancy an Elvis CD any day now.

Its a worrying message to give on the first day of BB.

"Grab my horn and give it a big blow"

What is the world coming to!
