A Pillar thingies
Discussion
The carbon fibre bits either side of the windscreen, mine are past their best and I've never really liked them. I notice that later Cerbs have a larger body coloured cover, has anyone updated theirs? If so where did you source them? Removal looks fairly straigtht forward, unless you've tried and know different.
Thanks

Hi
Mine were looking fairly ropey so I removed them and carefully picked off the lacquer so that I was down to the fibre. I then very lightly sanded them down and finally wire wooled them. I then sprayed them in normal celullose lacqure about 4 times to get the depth of finish back and now they look like new.
A couple of hours and less than £5 spent well I think!

BB - Thanks!
What an excellent bit of info. I saw lots of cerbs before I bought mine and every one had damage to this panel. I assumed (indeed someone told me!) they were prohibitively expensive and therefore to be avoided. Now, I don't feel quite so bad about closing the door with the window up when the control box decided to play up.
I won't fix it for a while but at least I know it is a DIY job.
Cheers
Rob
