Hi everyone just to let you know i picked up the new tuscan s verte today (moonracker black, with biscuit and magnolia hide) to early to say how she goes as i have only done 68 miles, will give it a good run over the weekend to get the first 1000 miles on the clock.I will post pics tommorrow if i find out how to do it. Just a quick question, the handbook says oil is changed at 1000 miles to carlube triple R 10W-40 Semi-Synthetic, then at 6000 miles to Carlube R 5W-40 Fully Synthetic. Why semi, then fully synthetic, i thought it would be the other way round.
Mineral oil allows the engine to wear slightly which is necessary for proper running-in. Fully synthetic oil doesn't. Honda also do the same thing with their s2000. As with TVR they switch to synthetic oil after 6000 miles.
Out of interest I've heard of a T350 that was supplied with synthetic oil from new by mistake (!) it wasn't run in properly and had engine problems as a result. The running in thing is not to be taken lightly then!

That looks fantastic, Tovie.
I was over at TVR centre on Saturday and saw your car wasn't around, so guessed you'd picked it up. I tried to haggle with Giles to get a decent discount, and he was having none of it, so I've ended up paying full whack (well, I got the standard 2005 TVR offer "S" offer, so not exactly full whack!).
