Is this actually supposed to do anything? Or has mine broken?

I planned to use the plenum connector that the vac advance currently uses to souce the MAP signal for the new ECU, but it seems that it's the wrong side of the throttle butterfly - well, there's no pressure drop at idle anyway!

Why did TVR fit vac advance if it doesn't actually do anything?

All I've done is proved the Griffith air intake system isn't actually that bad...

My MAP sensor is T'eed into the vacumn line between the over run valve on the back of the plenum and the fuel pressure regulator if that's any help. This was originally a flapper set-up, although I guess yours is hotwire, so will have a stepper motor instead. Should still be a vacumn line on the regulator though.

It's a throttle edge tapping so no good for a MAP sensor. Your best bet is to tee it into the vac line to the fuel pressure regulator, as previously suggested.
