Been reading C + recently (partly down to recent sad events),
but after a while I found it refreshing that my initial
reactions at reading the out-there-tap-dancing-with-the-
pixies-while-foaming-at-the-mouth-with-facial-twitching
comments of a couple of posters were tempered that most
of them over there are sane & reasonable. Not sure
about that Parrot geezer though...

Unfortunately, the C+ forum could be a great way of sharing training information and details of race circuits etc. But inevitably it turns out ot be an exercise in mass generalisation and subsequent slagging off of motorists . There must be more to life than this.
I'm no cyclist, but have looked at C+ recently, most of the site is a bike equivalent of PH, people talking about the things they like and giving each other advice and a bit of banter. BUT their equivalents of GG, P&P etc sometimes make the most rabid excesses of PH members look like the conversations of a polite tea party.

I had a similar reaction, though it seemed more half and half to me

Possibly because half of the actual *postings* are from the same
small cadre of hard-core fruit-loop nut-cases. I was particularly
impressed with the pair of clowns who took exception to a letter
published in the Times, found a Google reference to someone else
in the same region of London (SE3?) with the same name, and decided
to email his employer complaining about the letter to the Times.
Albert Einstein said something like "It takes true brilliance
to recognise genius....mediocrity can recognise nothing
greater than itself.".
Well, I admit to *dreaming* of one day attaining the dizzy heights
of mediocrity, but in this instance I feel justified in
pointing the finger that those two half-wits and calling it
World-class frick-wittery.

It all stems from last weekend somebody joined up and posted a thread to complain and asking nobody to reply to it
if that was really their intention why didn't they e-mail admin direct? It just degenerated with the usual hotheads name calling
The troll abused sections are 'Soapbox' and 'Campaign' the rest is pretty sane apart from the odd bit of toy throwing in 'Cakestop'
For training tips go to 'Training' funnily enough or 'Know How' and 'Special Interests' for fixed wheel nutters like myself
