I'm after a bit of advice here, I let the battery get flat on my 97 4.2 and having been through the rigeramole of getting in and going deaf with the alarm etc. Its now fully charged up but it no longer locks itself once alarmed nor does it wind the windows up? the alarm still works though as if you open the door it goes off..

Any ideas gratefully accepted

Matt,
Stand by the car, press the fob and keep it pressed, this will take the alarm through several cycles of alarming, disarming, locking and unlocking and will re-sync the alarm and central locking.

If the battery has been flat, try pulling the leads out of the door control box in the boot (on top of the tank), leave for a minute, and then reconnect.

No luck so far chaps, have tried both disconnecting the door lock control box and keeping the fob pressed down solutions.

I'm now at the stage where the door and boot buttons don't work, however if I use the emergency manual release then they start working again, until I alarm it again then they stop working again.
Is some sposed to be some sort of sequence to resettting everything?
