I have just become the proud owner of an original TVR Spare Parts Manual for the M series, published in November 1976. It's in mint condition, in the original binder, and is a thing of loveliness.

I don't necessarily want to sell it, but does anyone have any idea what it might be worth?

Judging by what dealers were charging for sales brochures at the Classic Car Show, it must be worth something.

If you want to sell it, put it on eBay, that's where you'll probably get the best price. Plus, you can give it a reserve if you don't want to sell it for less than a certain amount.

I saw a full service manual for a Cerbera the other day.

You could advertise it in Sprint - if you're a TVRCC member ads are free. And there's always the appropriate forum on PH of course!

Sorry chaps, I thought I'd made myself clear. I don't want to sell it, I just wondered how much it was worth. That's why it's on this forum, and not in an advert. Thanks for the guidance though.

I thought that if it's worth a lot, it might be nice to give something to the man who gave it to me. Anyone got any ideas what it's worth?

The value of any item, whether a parts manual or anything else, is dependant on how much someone is prepared to pay for it at any given time. Original M-series manuals are quite rare and I would guess that someone who needed one would pay at least £75.

I have one so I'll not be pestering you to sell it to me

By the way, does the one you have cover the Taimar, Turbo and 3000S models?

Thanks Terminator, that's really helpful - the bloke who gave me it is chuffed to death (he said he'd stand by his word and I could have it for nothing but I gave him 'a consideration' anyway).

It only covers the M models 1600 to 3000, and has details of the chassis numbers it covers. Very nice it is too.

He's just told me that he's got a heap of other old TVR books somewhere in the attic. Have sent him home to look them out tonight! He says I can have half of whatever he can sell them for (because he would have chucked them out if I hadn't told him they were collectable) - What a gent, eh?

I'd be interested to see what else he uncovers. I have a couple of friends in the USA who collect anything to do with TVR (within reason), so let me know, please.

I've got a spare copy, Jules, but it's not mint as people such as Trevor W, Jack P, Martin L and Jack Griffith have scribbled their names in it
