New 390SE owner saying hello
Discussion
Just a quick hello to evryone.
Recently bought a 1987 390SE 67Kmls after a total loss crash in my old Cerbera ...RIP.
Last owner had the car for over 14 years and traded it to the local dealer for a limited edition Griff (one of the last 100) so loads and loads of receipts, had a TVR Power engine rebuild in the past, new clutch, recon steering rack etc. Drivers seat is a little worn, quite a few stone chips and a few stress cracks but overall very good.
Tyres are a little worn but evenly so will replace them sooner rather than later.
What is everyone using as the 225/50/15's seems to be a rare size these days Toyo's or do mosr people go to 205/55/15?

To be honest i never used to drive the Cerbera hard, bought it as i always had a passion for TVR's and it was my daily car for some time. The 390 is so much louder even with the Cerbera having sports pipes but i do miss the pops and bangs on overun. The Wedge is still a quick car and real fun to drive without having too much power .... brakes are another story as the Cerbera was awesome on the brakes.
Ride quality is worse but i did have after market adjustables with uprated springs, steering is a little vague on the wedge but i think there is a little wear in the UJ so not too bad.
I really wanted to stay in TVR ownership but really only summer or dry winter days so it was either a S2/3 or a wedge .... the V8 burble has it. I got it at a good price but it does need a bit TLC, Chassis is solid and has been waxoyled pretty heavily in the past, i am still going to remove the sills and clean it all down, paint it with hammerite and get the old waxoyl tin out again. Mybe swap over the drivers and passengers seats due to the slight wear on the current drivers seat.
Overall looking forward to getting stuck into it.

. You'll have to get some photos up on your profile.
. I don't think I would like to have been a passenger!
