Is there any news on what is happening with these amazing cars and drivers this year,it would be good for a stand alone championship to restart providing the support is there,or will it be part of the combe GT again?

I hear that those owners wishing to race will either join in the TVRCC Challenge or enter the Britcar V8 series (if it goes aheard - I haven't heard) depending on budget and weight of opposition desired.

Hi, it's actually the other way round, the TVRCC guys are joining the Tuscan/V8 sagaris guys as an invitation class of the TVR Tuscan Challenge.

The first round is Oulton, 1st April.

A lot of work has gone on in the background and the 2006 Dunlop TVR Challenge is shaping up to be a great year with good grids and plenty ov variety and action on the track.

The Tuscan challenge and the TVRCC Challenge Cars and drivers have combined to be the only place to go if You want to see TVRs on the track in 2006.

Some of the Tuscans have spent the winter transforming in to sagaris bodied cars, whilst others have just been sleeping awaiting the new season. The TVRCC cars with everything from Tasmins to Chimaera's with a few griffs and Tuscans thrown in.

So the 1st April Kicks off a fantastic looking season and should see TVR racing back to grids of 20-30 cars. There is even a trip to the GP circuit at Spa.

It is expected that Some of the Sagaris Bodied cars will do a round or 2 of the proposed 4 event Britcar v8 Series in addition to the TVR Challenge, but that series and its dates havent been launched yet.

The (Provisional) TVR Challenge Dates are :-

Sat April 1st Oulton Park
Sat April 15th Silverstone
Mon May 1st Castle Combe
Sat/Sun May 13/14th Pembury (double header)
Sun June 4th Spa Francorchamps
Sat June 24th Snetterton
Sat/Sun July 15/16th Silverstone
Sun August 20th Sun Mallory Park
Sat/Sun September 2/3rd Brands Hatch
Sat October 7th Oulton Park

Cheers
Graham (Tuscan 41 for 2006)

Great to have a championship back it would have been a waste for these brill cars to just sit around or have to run in an gt race all the time!

Lets hope it can now go from strenth to strenth now and build into an even better championship,if that can happen!
