Hi all - Well now its my turn. Here's the results of an idiot pulling out of a junction straight into my path when I was (legally) doing about 50mph:
No-one injured. The other driver (aged 20, on the road 2 days) admitted full responsibility to me and to the police, so hopefully there'll be no probs with his insurance paying up.
I'm just waiting for the car to be taken to someone to value the repairs now.
I feel for Cerbie, his is obviously worse than mine; But how annoying is it when it's some other fool's fault?

Really sorry about your motor, but your okay that is the most important thing.
Hopefully yours can be fixed and you will obviously be claiming for injuries etc as it is the other guys fault.
You can have my bonnet if it is any help - it is about the only panel on mine that's okay!
Hope it gets sorted to your advantage and you are back the road in the near future.

every year, around these few months is when TVR's have it the hardest.... most of the times its the 'other drivers' fault... so again, like I always believed, let her rest over the xmas/new year months..... its not worth it taking the chance with other spastic drivers who cant handle a 90bhp motor on an icy/cold road.... and its always our tivva's which pay the price... 
Glad you're ok bud! Did you by any chance knock the kid out? I bet that'll be his pub story for the rest of his life, 2nd day on the road and I smashed up a TVR....

I believe the general rule is that if the repair costs less than 70% of the value of the car, then it gets repaired...
Now, the value of the car according to the insurance company is anyones guess......
Well Andy apart from my bonnet spinning off its actually not really damaged, just some minor scuffing - thanks for the offer!
The other guy and his front seat passenger (the driver was a leaner and his passenger was NOT qualified!) were both OK, if a little dizzy after being spun out of the way as I knocked them out of the way and continued on to finally come to rest diagonally up a grass bank.
I hit his car on his passenger side rear door and wing. Lotsa damage there too.
Re the valuation - well I won't accept anything that does not put me back in the same situation I was in before the accident - and not out of pocket at all.

Andy - The above statement is very worrying; if the driver was a learner and the passenger not qualified, he was driving illegally and his insurance company (presuming he has one) will usually not cover him, leaving the options for you to claim against yours or to sue, either will leave you out of pocket. Can you clarify?
Very sorry to see another severely damaged Cerb at this time of year. Glad you and the visually impared idiots were OK.
Mine now stays off the road Dec - Feb inclusive - after seeing various contributions & pictures on here for the last three years.

My Lotus pride and joy of a few years ago
was Mondeoed up the rear - his fault
with some negotiation they said they wouldnt repair
so they let me have the car and a payout of around half its value
suited me at the time cos I was happy to do the work myself
would have been so good if I had to pay the labour of somebody else doing it.
and I guess its then registered as damaged - all though I was told it wasnt?

I was referring to the bonnet! Rest of it is a little more distressed!

I am not sure your O/S front wheel and wishbones agree with this statement! I just hope things work out OK with the insurers.
Andy i had very similar circumstances and very similar damage a couple of weeks ago!
The accessor came out and sent my car to a tvr specialist, the quoted an arm and a leg and the insurance is paying up!
I should hopefully have it bk in about 7 weeks
I recieved my courtesy car this morning!
I stressed out at the time but if you have good insurance company they will bend over backwards
