I always think these updates can spell the beginning of the end for the online portion of these games. Unless everyone has the same version of the same update plus any subsequent patches, stuff starts to go wrong faster than I can say "oops I've spun again in the 911 RSR".

Just thinking of some of the hell we all went through with GTR makes me shiver. Hopefully when we get our own server we can avoid some of this by having it up a day before the race so everyone can connect up and test prior to the big event.

But with add-on tracks you're fine, it doesn't affect the rest of the game/online play..
