(first lob, I learnt to weld too :reminiss: should I be back on the "We made it" thread)
Was so pleased, I tried to show off with someone else in the cab, trouble was it had a full load this time so the handbrake didn't lock on and I carreered into a 8ft brick gate post.
As well as learning to weld (in my spare time to fix the bloody wagon) did my first bit of pointing and rendering, learnt a lot that summer
mainly from mistakes

Edited to say that it was
a) not mine
b) on an airfield
c) convertible
and that the owner didnt know about it (and never will know) i had a go
i also reverse flipped it as in tiff's video
brilliant fun ! ! ! ! !!

Well it was not really a hand brake turn as you would know it, but I was pulling into the NFT depot (they do the Sainsbury contract) in London Colney, nr St Albans, and I turned sharp right just past all the docking bays and pulled the air handbrake up!
I was taken aback at how much the trailer swung out, it must have been at least a 180 degree arc, shit the life out of me! Got totally bollocked for it by one of the shunters and never went back. (I was temping)
Oh, it was an Vovlo 6 axle artic.

Hmm...I'm going to work tonight on the Newcastle Metro. Dunno if I can get the back end to snap out but the track brakes are awesome. Big fcuk off electro magnets that clamp down onto the track - stops the train dead, if passengers are onboard they usually bleed and complain

I know it was not me but did you know that the tank they got sliding sideways in the 007 classic Goldeneye (in my opinion the best) was not just a car in a fake tank outfit, it was a real big ass tank - for over 60 tonnes that aint bad (or am I wrong?). I seem to remember it was considered impossible, but evidently not.

JCB by accident (was playing with a mates) don't ask what size it was but it was a big-wheeled variety with rear and forward buckets. I remember the window washers were that loud on that thing I thought they were the horn until my friend refilled the water reservoir.
