Hi,
I am browsing a web site and at the bottom it says you can click a link for a printable version. I want to do this, but save it as a PDF or similar, so I can print it at home. Can anyone advise how to do this? What does the print to file dialogue mean?
Cheers
If the program you are using doesn't have a built-in way of creating pdfs, you need to have a printer driver that creates pdfs ... i.e. the program (Internet Explorer or whatever) sends its data to the printer driver, and the printer driver then creates a pdf file instead of actually sending the data to a real printer. I've not seen any free printer drivers that do this, but they may exist.
I'd just go to file/save as/web page (single file) and take that file home to print. That will probably be the easiest thing to do.
If you have Office installed you should be able to print to the Microsoft Office Imaging printer which creates a natty tif file.

That'll do nicely!
Thanks for the help.
