Mods, if this breaks the advertising rules please let me know and I'll remove it, however hopefully it doesn't as I'm not asking for any money.

I have an Renault Laguna available which I cannot bear to scrap, but which I do not realistically think I will be able to sell for anything other than a nominal sum. Especially as it has now generated a fault whereby when the engine gets hot enough it starts to choke and will cut out (for what reason I do not know). This fault might be fairly easy to fix and fairly cheap, but as I have just bought a replacement cat I am not willing to spend any money on it.

As such, I am willing to give it away free to anyone who wants to come and collect it from North London. It is a white M-reg Renault Laguna 1.8 RT. It has a grey fabric interior, MD/radio, towbar and is in pretty good condition all round. In fact the only thing that is wrong with it is the cutting out issue.

If you're interested, drop me an email through my profile.

Good luck.
If the attension you get is anything like the attension I've been getting for my budget £350 Merc and my immaculate Red BMW E21 (which I'm virtually giving away!)- you'll STILL get people asking if it has FSH, comes with a full tank of petrol and whether it's ever been used!

Is the E21 still for sale? Where? Do you have a link? Have always wanted a 323i variant...

Nevin; hope you find a good home for the Laguna!

Someones coming up to see it on Thursday, and they're offering me next to nothing (£600)- but he's an enthusiast. It's worth alot more than that, especialy conidering the bodywork is great (just needs a polish up). I just DONT have the time!

Yeah, I can well imagine. Thought it was worth a try though as I really would feel a bit guilty scrapping it. It is really very good apart from this cutting out problem, but Lagunas are going for about £200 on Autotrader just now, and for that sort of money I can't be bothered fixing it.

Scrapyard next week though if no one wants it.

God! I'd have given you that on trust if you were a local chap. Sadly I assume you're up north.

One day I will have an E21 323i as a fun car.

Well if its getting hot that could be something as simple as a faulty water pump.

Exactly, it could well be so potentially not very difficult to fix. Someone may therefore be getting a bargain.

If you were to give me a grand (after having seen it obviously) I would get it MOT'd- then if you arranged to get it insured, Tax would be no problem to get.
At the moment it's SORNd and It's really not worth me getting it insured again for a few days- it's a right hassle!

I'm not 'up north' I'm about 85 miles north of London

Marquis Rex; that's a very kind offer, but I won't take you up on it as I'm not about over the next few weekends to get up to Warks and have a look around. Gutting. However, looks like ultimasimon would like it! Good luck with the sale chum.

I am interested in the Renault btw not the Beemer. Thats sounds like too much of a nice car to 'evaluate' her driving skills with.

I hope she doesn't read this thread!

Have a look in your inbox, if you have mail, I sent to you. If you don't I sent it to the hijacker

Infact, just to confuse the aleady confusing issue by confusing it a little bit more..I may send him some junk mail anyway just for the hell of it.

£1000 for the bimmer? Why do you want £750?, £650 sounds a bit too much, how about £500

/dealermode

Yes if the Renault is still up for grabs I would be interested.
