front indicators question

I want to add front brake cooling ducts for track days and will be using the existing holes into which the indicators sit onto the rear of which i will fit the flexi-ducting within the inner wing and run the ducts through and along the wishbones. the installation of the flexi-ducting is easy but i want to fit much smaller indicators to improve the air volume that enters the ducts. Has anyone fitted smaller indicators? Come to think of it, is there a law identifying a minimum size for a front indicator?
