Hi Tafford,

Fitted a set on Saturday all lengths etc are good and the fit onto plug shrouds is good and tight!

Unable to tell you more other than they seem fine but as my car will not be ready for the road for a couple of months I will not know what difference they make!

Have only had the car ticking over so far,but all seems ok with these!

Just one thing they dont accept paypal which is a bit of a pain having to post cheques etc.

Cheers
Rob

Where are the suppresive plug shrouds? They don't look like they are for a Chim at all to me.

Tafford,

Fitted these to my chim in the summer. Length is good, only prob is that they didn't fit in the standard lead holder, so a few tie wraps were in order.

They've been fine for me, car runs well, i'm sure it was alot smoother after fitting but that might have been psychological....

They're a made-up lead Rob .. apparently the wire bit is bought by a guy who puts hte relevant ends on, then seels them through frank (the guy off ebay) .. so teh wire is a commercially available type which is then manufactured to fit whatever car you have. I sent a load of cerbera leads over to Frank who organised getting them made up for me. I've sold quite a few sets now .. only downside is even though the cerbera sets have only 8 leads compared to 9 in the griff/chim sets the ends are more expensive doh! so teh cerbie sets end up more than the griff/chim sets. You can buy the griff/chim sets direct from Frank tho (contact him through his ebay profile) and there's (small) discounts for large orders.

Hmm your spelling looks like you have been on the beer more than me and thats saying something!!! yeh i will drop him a line if they are good as you say, the moroso leads are good but you have to put the ends on your self which is a bind!

Just bought some nice red ones, spoke to Frank who seems like a good bloke and gave me some great advice.

I stand corrected then, sorry Frank. Still prefer my Magnecors though.

With 10mm of silicon it isn't a problem having the leads resting on the engine, but for the sake of neatness I'd like some separators; anyone know where to get a set big enough for 10mm leads? I'd prefer the clamp types to the comb type, either alloy or nylon. The only ones I've been able to find are up to 8mm.

I do mine withy cable ties .. if you loosely wrap a cable tie around the four leads, then use tiny cable ties to clamp the long single cable tie around each individual lead then it looks pretty neat, especially if you get all teh rathcets out of sight .. I'll do a set and send a pic in for you to see. Not as nice as proper clamps but pretty neat compared to unfastened.

No worries, that's what I had done already! They've been like that for years, I even used tiny red cable ties to colour code () and they are pretty much invisible, and pretty neat as you say. I just wanted to get away from the TVR/cable tie thing!

lol a picture is worth a thousand words .. I'm sure my wordy description sounded nothing like what i've shown in the pics lol! anyway it works pretty well and if you're neat you can position the ratchet parts of the cable ties so you don't see them very much. Certainly beats leads cable tied in a bundle, though with 10mm silicone leasd the chances of cross firing would be minimal I think.
