Power gains...

Ok, new here, so hi to all and my first question as the new owner of a Boxster S (986)..are there any sensible ways of making more power? Air filter/tune-up/chip upgrades etc.

Advice greatfully recieved.

Ooohh,...suites you sir!

It has a sports exhaust, sound lovely, combined with the induction noise from the engine above 3.5k. I do notice that when I accelerate at any speed or revs, there is a decent bit of power for a split second as I put my foot down, but it reduces a bit after say half a sec.

Rather than just increase power, why not take to improving your power to weight ratio. Nervous has set a fine example by removing a large amount of hair, allowing just a few tufts to stand proud. He has also cleverly removed weight from high up, ingeniously lowering his CG.....
