What size wheels and tires should I buy for my 111R? Wanted to get the OZ Super legera or Super tourismo but cannot work out which one I need. Was thinking of putting toyo 888's on them.

Bonuses get paid in a few weeks time, so I need to prepare.

Nothing really fits offsets are funny..... saying that the yanks seem to have some interesting ones ??

Exige alloys do and they can take wider front tyres like the toyo's or A048's

Choose black and A048's - nice

you mean these?

Compl. Wheel-Set O.Z. Motorsport Rims 6,5/16 (7kg) + 7,5/17 (8,5kg) with Yokohama A048 LTS 195/50/16 + 225/45/17.
Without spacers mountable.
or some of those

O.Z Lotus motorsport rim set
Front 2x 6,5 x 16 (7kg)/Rear 2x 7,5 x 17 (8,5kg)

The OZ's won't fit properly on the back of an 111R. Offset is wrong as it's different from the rover versions.

For similar size wheels on the 111R there's a simple solution though: Exige2 or Sport-pack wheels.

Bye, Arno.

Get the exige S2 wheels - I think you still need a rear spacer about 25 mm wide. I will check on this.

Look on our web site (www.pbracing.it) we have new wheels for the 111R and you can chose some different offset.
If you are looking for wheels for Toyo 888 or Yoko A048 they are very good.

Drifter, as ever your site is tantalising rather than useful. More detail (finish, choice of colour etc.) and some decent images would make a lot of difference.

I agree! There is some great products but very little info to help you make a credible choice. PLEASE sort it out.

Spent ages trawling through various websites, found a few wheels but nothing particularly great.

Thanks for the advice on the offset being specific to the Exige/111R

have a look at the team dynamics pro race 1.2s they look nicer than the OZs (IMHO), they cost one third the price and according to the website (but I've not phoned them to check yet) you should be able to get them in 100pcd within 1-2mm of the desired offset, which should be fine!
you'll find them through www.rimstock.co.uk

Once I've made my mind up about whether to risk AO48s in Glasgow's perpetual standing water, I'll be getting some.

Thanks Alan, what does 100pcd actually mean? I don't know a thing about wheels.

PCD is basically the distance between the wheel nuts. - you need to get 4 bolt ones with 100 (i think it's mm) pcd, and the offset needs to be right. - the offset is how far the face where the wheel actually bolts to the hub is from the actual centre of the wheel (i.e. half way between the inside face and the outside face of the rim)

the bigger the offset, the more the hub sits out towards the face of the wheel, the smaller the offset, the more the wheel seems to plunge deep in in the middle to where it bolts to the hub. -

don't think that makes much sense, but just have a look at the difference between the back wheels of a 111s and a 111r. the 111s has a small offset, where the 111r has a bigger one. - then it'll all be clear!

Have a look at these links. - they're for the early S2/111S so the front wheels are the same as the 111R but the rear wheels are the wrong offset for you.
The 11R offsets are ET31 (mm again i think) for the front and ET38 for the rear (whereas my car is ET18 at the back)

Happy hunting!
The stud pattern (4 x 100PCD is really common, and the 11R offsets aren't THAT rare - it's nothing like the original elise S1 - it had a weird 97.something pcd with offsets of 11 or 13 - VERY rare!

Let us all know if you find something! cos like i say, while the website for team dynamics wheels says they should make whells that would fit well (16x7 for the front and 17x8 for the rear) i've not phoned them to check.

hope it works, cos it'd allow you to get AO48 shod lightweight sports wheels for less than £1000! - gotta be worth trying!
