Recommendations V8 engine upgrade on Griffith 500

Can anyone recommend an engine upgrade on a Griffith 500
I have looked at

what is the best value for money, what is the engine life, how is servicability effected, etregards

Go to the major mods forum, but the first question is what's your budget?

Need to know a bit more about your budget and what you are hoping for from the engine to answer that question. There are worthwhile gains to be had from induction/cam/head changes, but if you after a significant power increase you may need more radical changes; if you do this, it's better to do this first rather than make lots of incremental changes and then throw them away.

I would idealy like to stay in the £1,000 to £2,000 range but his is not an absolute.

I am a road driver rather than track but looking for the maximum power whilst maintaining best engine life and ease of maintainence. Any upgrade that does not cause a massive fuel consumption increase on a normal drive would be good.

what i dont want is an upgrade that trashes the engine.

A re-mapped tailor tuned ECU from Mark Adams will work wonders for every aspect of your driving, Mark weak find the weak and strong points of your car and tune to suit. Budget for £800 including the rolling road time. It's best to do this once any other mods have been done.

Tim LaMont can supply you with induction and fuelling mods, plenums, trumpets etc which will increase power etc. Ask him about non-reversal cones for the manifolds these help exhaust gas flow.

You may also be able to change the cam in this budget too.

i would certainly be spending that kind of money with act, his twin plenum and other induction goodies, pound per bhp this would certainly be the route i would take, there is also a similar thread on the griff forum at the moment
