At a guess knocking on for 4 figures, HID units eg the Hella HID 90mm jobs are £300 or so each.

What's wrong with a couple of those 7.5million candle torches running off the cigarette lighter that you can get for £5 at petrol stations

Not sure... I think they were talking of around 500 ish but don't quote me on that. Quite a bit of variables depending on which one etc etc.

funnily enough I did a deal with an HID supplier just the other day for my shop. seems like the next big thing, i hope!! lol

Joo, sorry to say i heard there's a local by-law banning the use, sale and manufacture of HID lights in Sheffield

Well funny you should say that, because I've put a disclaimer on my advert saying for off road use only ..

apparently all new cars should have self-levelling and a washer system when HID lights are fitted, there seems to be a grey area covering the aftermarket fitting of conversion kits .. in reality the beam and alignment of the lights is unaffected but because they are 3 times brighter they have special requirements associated with them for new cars.

I've warned people of this in my shop advert so anyone placing an order is aware of it. Better to be safe than sorry i think!!

It won't stop me fitting them to my car .. 3 times brighter TVR headlamps will just about bring them up to the standard of a good mainstream car 20 years ago lmao! I'm sure many other people will feel the same way.
