I'm having problems with my PC, when I'm on a forum type site, like PH, unless I constantly click on 'refresh' the computer opens old pages, seemingly from the last time I was on but when I go to the page again it's still an old page (sometimes) meaning I have to refresh again. Also on other sites, ebay for example I get occasional error messages eg 'The browser you are using is rejecting cookies' and sometimes can't get on 'my ebay' at all.

I'm Using Windows XP & internet Explorer 6 ( ) and in Internet options I have security set at medium and privacy as low, but have reduced the settings with no change, I have Zone Alarm Pro firewall in which the Firewall is set to medium but I have tried both with the setting to 'off' and with ZA shut down completely. there is also a firewall in my router from the ISP, which is set to medium (default) the next lower setting is off.

If I clear all cookies and start again it will usually be OK for a few days but soon it gets back to being annoying.

Anyone got any idea why this is happening, a conflict maybe? it's not always done it, maybe a couple of months on and off.

Thanks for any replies

Dunno about IE, but try using Firefox. Much better.

Try tools/internet options/temporary internet files/settings.
Should be on 'automatic'. OK that then 'delete files' then try that.
