one for the chemists/ not talking boots either

I was thinking about this grenade today that fires little bouncy balls everywhere ( the pacifyer would be a good name for it). Anyway i was wondering if there was such a thing as a corrosive agent that will only eat biological material. Also it must have a very limited life, say 30 seconds.
2 reasons relay. I was wondering if it could be put in a grenade and so instantly disperesed in an enclosed area to kill germ warfare type viruses ( ooh no too small ) erm kill bacteria.
And the other thing was to instantly clean a room of fingerprints and dna.
Not that i need such a device but i was rubbish at chemistry so i wondered if such a chemical was available.
ps, i am not a nutcase

Well, a pretty universal distinguishing characteristic that separates organic and inorganic materials is that by and large inorganic materials don't burn and organic ones do. So just torch the place.
Nooo
'borrowed' magnesium from school labs was far too much fun and no organics involved.
never mind the fun burning wire wool for the sparks
the joys of mixing aliminum filings and rust
if you're going to burn things then there is lots of fun to be had without organic compounds
otherwise yep most organic compounds burn very nicely give or take the occasional plume of toxic smoke, dioxins etc.
oh and as the quote goes I'm not a nutter either
