coil packs & firing sequence
Discussion
I'm not sure if i've got a problem or not? I've got the fuel rail etc off the top of the engine, changing the alt belt etc...
When checking the coil packs and connections I noticed that when looking in from the drivers side wing the front coil pack is marked 1,3,5,7 going clockwise around the pack. The rear one is marked 2,4,6,8 going anti clockwise around the coil pack, but no.4 lead was on no.6 post and no.6 lead on no.4 post.
Can anyone confirm the firing sequence and the coil pack connections for me?
Thanks

I think you'll find - and I know this is wierd and I may be corrected - that all 4 plugs from each coil pack fire simultaneously.
In the 4-pin connector into the coil packs there is only two earths, +12v and a signal from the ECU.
Got the connections somewhere, let me know if you need me to look them up.
Andy.

I'm not familiar with this system at all. Are we saying that the ht lead connections don't matter because the ecu is controlling things, and there is an unused spark in effect?
Or should the ht leads be on certain points.
I'm just a bit confused because everything has previously marked and numbered (as I would do)
